I love decorating for the holidays. There is nothing better than coming home to a Christmas tree and hot chocolate. Sahba and I are pretty proud of our 6 1/2 foot Charlie Brown Christmas tree. It's perfect for our first tree.

Halloween was another weekend spent in Fayetteville. After brainstorming for weeks, Sahba and I couldn't come up with a couple Halloween costume that we wanted to dress up as. Therefore, both of our "costumes" were a last minute decision. I've never seen Sahba so excited to carry a rubber hammer, wear a blonde wig or dress in a cape.
black friday... wedding
After a long drive from Little Rock to Dallas after a even longer day at work, Sahba joon and I settled into McKinney for Thanksgiving. And when I say settled, I mean for one night kind of settled.
Normally on black Friday, my mom and I wake up early in the morning to begin our shopping. We always start out in the best mood, however things always change after a couple stores. Needless to say, traveling to Houston for Sahba's cousin's wedding was a fun, new way to spend the holiday.

boos birthday.
We made another weekend trip to Fayetteville for Sahba's birthday. The leaves were starting to change and it's so beautiful. We're headed there again this weekend for Halloween so luckily we will continue to see gorgeous Fall Fayetteville weather.

homie.
Lately, I have been all about trying to make my personal surroundings more "home-y". The fall time makes me want to bake and decorate constantly. (if only 'working out constantly' was on my agenda as well). Last night was a simple night at home with homemade chocolate chip cookies. What more does a girl need.

life is too short not to blog.
After being back in Arkansas, I didn't plan on keeping up with this blog, but lately I've missed the excitement of creating posts every day. Arkansas posts will probably not be nearly as fun as New York posts were but... I'll take a stab at it. Plus, Arkansas in the Fall, makes for amazing pictures. Back and better than ever! Yay for fall!

fashion.
Yesterday was Carol Hannah's bridal fashion show that Court, Laura and I helped out with it. It was a long day full of errands and taxi rides. Best and worst part of the day took place at Kinko's. Court and I had to single handedly hole punch over 300 brochures. Yuck. But THEN, we saw Wallace Shawn, aka Mr. Hall from Clueless, which is my all time favorite movie. Of course I asked him for a picture. I'm pretty sure he liked me... but then again, who doesn't like me. :) 9 more days until ARKANSAS!!

| The only thing that would have made this experience better would be Mr. Hall not smelling like straight-up ketchup. Yikes. |
Cheers!

rejoice.
This post is dedicated to my last couple of weeks in New York. As of today,
I officially have 23 days left in which, I've decided to make the most of every
moment. There has been a lot of worrying and unsure thoughts running
through my mind lately, but it's amazing what a little bit of scripture does
to a girl. One day I'll realize there are thousands of things more important
in this world than myself. I'm very thankful for everyone in my life, and I'm
especially grateful to have Court & Zac in NYC with me. I'd be lost without
God, friends and family. The last two nights, Court and I have had our "life talks"
over dinner which basically consists of us whining about what we are going to do
with our lives after the big city and prior to graduation. In the mean time, all we
know to do is to create a NY bucket list. Wahlah:

"Don't worry about anything, instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7

stripes.
I'm not going to lie... one of my favorite looks to wear is the classic,
put-together, almost effortless preppy look. Like last spring, stripes are
everywhere right now. Thank goodness my closet seems to be stocked...
(for the time being). Here's what I'm throwing together, and
what fresh stripes are raining in from the runways.
Check out my look featured on 'StyleBy.me' NWA's local lookbook what fresh stripes are raining in from the runways.

pyt.
I spent most of my time this weekend with Courtney going to yoga,
shopping in SOHO and eating sushi. I'm looking forward to going to
Little Rock this weekend. I can't wait to feel warm weather! Thinking
about being in Arkansas this summer makes me so excited.
Things I miss most about Ark:
1. Devil's Den
2. Wilson Park
3. Farmer's Market
4. Trees... and Hammontree's.
5. The Tin House!!
So soon, I'll be back! I can't wait! Happy Valentine's Day! Happy birthday Maura!
Things I love about Valentine's Day:
Have a great day today!!
Cheers!

love love love.
It was so nice having today off. It was a easy day filled with english
breakfast tea, yoga and a wedding dress fitting with my step-sister, Jen.
Awhile back, Jen chose a dress that ironically is made by Carol Hannah,
(the designer I intern with) and it was pretty exciting seeing Carol Hannah
in the studio sewing the buttons onto the dress and then to see my sister
trying it on tonight. Also! I was in Greenwich Village (which is the cutest area
in NY) and I saw Jennifer Love Hewitt walking!
Here some pictures from my lovely day.
