Man, the weather has been brutal! While all my fellow Texas and
Arkansas friends are LAYING OUT and walking around in tank tops,
I'm here. In New York. Freezing. This past Wednesday we got 19 inches
of snow. That just so happened to be the day I interned with Carol Hannah
and had to run a million errands outside. Let's just say, I'll never leave the
house without A. a hat and B. snow boots.
My step dad called me yesterday just to brag about the 80 degree Texas
weather. There wasn't any "Hi Beth, how are you?" Nope. Just "The weather
is so amazing! I've been golfing all day". Sheesh. Can a girl get some sympathy!? ;)

one day, i'll learn. 

this was not easy. 

More snow is coming my way. But I heard it is also coming to the South. :) Y'all deserve it!

miracle on 34th st.

All things considered, NYC hasn't been as expensive as I was expecting...
the problem tends to be: unlimited access to shopping and restaurants. 
If these things weren't constantly haunting me, NY living would be a 
breeze! I live on 34th street aka the location of the famous Macy's... 
and most days I find myself walking through the 8-story department 
store on my way to work. With this, I'm basically setting myself up 
for failure. I'm waiting for that angry phone call from my mom regarding 
my bank statement. My alibi consists of, "Mom, I walked into Macy's to 
get away from the cold, you don't want me getting sick do you?" 
If only my mother was that naive. Below are pictures of my bedroom, 
which really hasn't been so bad! Where I'm staying offers maid service, 
and free meals. All I can say is free food doesn't equal good food. Enjoy :)

Before settling into NYC, I made my first trip to Boston to see my

good friend, Julie. :) I was only able to stay for a couple days but truly 

loved it. Compared to New York, Boston is so clean  and offers a small town

feel while being surrounded by a big city. I was also introduced to one of the

BEST vintage jewelry stores I've ever been to... What more could a southern, 

city, vintage lovin' girl ask for? I think it's safe to say, I can see myself in Bawston.

San Diego. After being here in New York for the last two weeks, I've 

spent a lot of time looking at these pictures and daydreaming about 

the warm San Diego weather...

Although I have spent less that 5 hours in New York before my plane takes 
off to Boston, I have never felt so motivated to become a better person while 
in such a wonderful city. Jennifer, Adam, Coop and I went to this adorable 
exclusive restaurant called Vineyard Hill House hidden in the streets of Brooklyn, 
right next to Dumbo. It was the perfect first place to eat while in New York.
